Pre-Orders Open For Commodore 64 Release 'Guns 'N' Ghosts'

Pre-Orders-Open-For-New-Commodore-64-Release-Guns-N-GhostsThe masterminds behind the Commodore 64 homebrew hits, Joe Gunn and Soulless, have joined forces to create something special. Guns 'n' Ghosts is the recent creation of Georg Rottensteiner and Trevor Storey, due for release via homebrew publishers RGCD and Psytronik Software.

Console gamers have plenty to be jealous of where homebrew C64 software is concerned. The Commodore 64 development scene is thriving and countless new titles are surfacing on a regular basis. Last year's release, Soulless, made a fantastic statement on how far the homebrew scene has come, delivering console quality gaming on the 8-bit computer.

Guns 'n' Ghosts hopes to continue the trend of ground-breaking homebrew releases, combining elements of Bubble Bobble and Ghosts 'n' Goblins to create something special. Development on this 72+ screen adventure is very close to being finished, leaving retro publishers RGCD and Psytronik Software to create alluring packaging.

Pre-ordered the tape versions a couple of days ago! Love these one screen bubble bobble type of games. The most important part is that it has support for 2 players, if it only had 1 players support I never would have ordered it.

I really like that there is no visible projectiles when firing their weapons, just like in Earthworm Jim :)

Yes there are many good homebrew games coming for the c64, you really need to keep an eye on the c64 game "Catnipped" that will be released on Psytronik. Looks really nice and is also a Bubble Bobble type of game.
