Pre-Orders Open For Neo Geo Homebrew 'Knight's Chance'

Knights-Chance-Neo-Geo-HomebrewAfter quite some time in development, Neo Geo homebrew coders NeoBitz have opened the pre-ordering process for their upcoming release, Knight's Chance. Set to be released on a physical Neo Geo MVS cartridge in both standard and collector's editions, this is one title fans of SNK's arcade platform don't want to miss out.

That said, we have to admit that it is looking to be quite the pricey release. Like many other Neo Geo homebrews, such as Gunlord and Fast Striker, Knight's Chance is due to be made available for the hefty price of $349. Unlike the aforementioned titles though, Neobitz are yet to announce a cheaper alternative such as a Dreamcast port.

Cost aside, an all new video showcasing the gameplay of Knight's Chance has been uploaded to YouTube, one which displays a lot of promise for fans of the puzzle/card game genre. Neobitz's title seems to offer plenty of different game modes and challenges, along with a quirky medieval gambling edge.

Really not sure about the dice-rolling animation on Mystic Dice *blushes*. That aside, another one I would have loved to have a Dreamcast version of. I can see the appeal for collectors at the top-end, the box art is gorgeous and the limited edition guarantees it will be worth stupid money in the future. Ah well, maybe there'll be more SNES/MD homebrews in the future that more of us can enjoy. The best of luck to them with it.

Wow! Neo Geo users actually want this boring pfaff on their systems???

Take away the 'skin' and this is no different than the tens of thousands of standard casual gamer offerings on Google Play Store for Android. Quite frankly I'm amazed that anyone would bother buying this for the Neo Geo, let alone go to the trouble of developing it which, IMHO, wouldn't exactly been challenging either.
