Portable Super Nintendo Handheld Console ‘ Pocketgame Hamy’ Hits Chinese Retailers Online

Pocketgame-Hamy-Super-Nintendo-Clone-HandheldOver the last few years we’ve seen a plethora of unofficial aftermarket consoles up for sale. The Super Retro Trio, RetroN5, and even the SupaBoy have all provided alternative ways to enjoy our Super Nintendo favourites. If that wasn’t enough already, an all new SNES handheld known as the Pocketgame Hamy has arrived via Chinese retailers online.

While very little is known about the Pocketgame Hamy as of yet, the product’s photographs show that the handheld is a region free device attempting to match the style of the Super Famicom and Super Nintendo. Branded with the familiar four colour buttons of Nintendo’s 16-bit console, the few places showing off this device have shown the likes of Street FIghter II and Super Mario World plugged in, only not powered on. Furthermore one more shot of the console presents additional connections on the bottom of the Pocketgame Hamy’ for external gamepads, a power supply, and an AV out connection.

As you’d expect we have absolutely no idea how well this device performs, how good the controls respond, or even if the display is any good (perhaps an explanation as to why it isn’t shown on the listing). Either way it’s interesting to see another portable take on the Super Nintendo, and perhaps worth a gamble at $109?

Hamy branded clones are normally pretty good quality.
Haven't gotten this one yet but will add it soon.
