PokeCard - Nintendo Pokemon Mini Flash Cartridge Out Now

PokeCardDespite being one of Nintendo's most obscure, under-appreciated and unloved handhelds of all time, the Pokemon Mini has quite the following. Although there are only 10 official releases available for the system, hardcore fanatics have created their very own flash cartridge for it - the PokeCard.

While this small supply of 10 titles might not be enough to entice retro gamers to invest in such a piece of kit, there are, however, many other reasons why the PokeCard is a fantastic purchase. To name but a few, proof of concept homebrew games such as PokeSonic, Zelda Mini, P-Type, Pokemon Orange, and Bad Apple go on to display how dedicated the community is in showcasing the merits of this handheld.

On the official side of things, you'd be surprised how much this handheld has to offer. Titles such as Pokemon Tetris and Pokemon Puzzle Collection are fantastic releases in their own right - worthy of the space on any flash cartridge.

As of now revision 2.1 of the PokeCard 512 can be had for 90EUR which also includes the cart writer.

"Out Now"??

More like, out of stock now. What a horribly outdated bit of news. These were hand built years ago. I haven't seen one for sale in over 3 years. In fact, the last comment on their site is from 2010.

Gamers are better off with the Pokemon Mini EMU (DS/PSP/ETC) since Homebrew is mostly tech demos and the games themselves aren't worth more than 5 minutes of your bathroom time.
