PlayStation RPG Langrisser IV: The Art of The Swords War Translated

PlayStation-RPG-Langrisser-IV-The-Art-of-The-Swords-War-Now-TranslatedOriginally released for the Sega Saturn in 1997, Langrisser IV: The Art of The Swords War became yet another hit in the on going RPG series, which has mostly remained exclusive to Japan. Knowing there is a great game underneath the Japanese dialogue, dedicated fans have worked hard to release a fan translation patch for the PlayStation version.

Arriving two years after hitting the Sega Saturn, the PlayStation outing saw the blend of both the fourth game's story being combined with the battle system of the fifth. Despite sounding like a more complete package, many fans of the series have turned to the original Saturn version due to the letterboxed battle visuals and poor quality audio.

Whether or not the PlayStation version of Langrisser IV is the definitive version, ROM hackers have since translated the game finally allowing those outside of Japan to enjoy this obscure treat. Fans of the Shining Force, Fire Emblem and Advance Wars series should take note as they'll feel right at home with everything Langrisser IV has to offer.
