PC & PlayStation 2 Classic Max Payne Shoots Onto Android Devices

PlayStation-2-Classic-Max-Payne-Shoots-Onto-Android-DevicesIf the arrival of Grand Theft Auto 3 on Android wasn't enough to keep your inner Rockstar fan boy at bay, then you'll be pleased to hear there's another treat in store for you. Their 2001 third person shooter, Max Payne, has now been made available for your mobile phone and tablet via the Google Play Store.

Max Payne was without a doubt one of the most groundbreaking titles released eleven years ago. The introduction of bullet time showdowns combined with traditional puzzle solving and platforming gameplay left Rockstar's hit comfortably sat in many PlayStation 2s and PCs for quite some time.

The Android port of Max Payne arrives a few months after the Apple iOS version, however, remains mostly the same. The huge benefit Android users have though is the ability to connect to a bluetooth gamepad (including the Nintendo Wii remote), or should they have one, the on-board gamepad found on the Sony Xperia Play which utilises the dual analog sticks in game.

The title is odd when the Xbox version is far superior to the PS2...
