We sure could get used to the frequent supply of retro games being given HD remakes, couldn't you? Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, the skateboarding simulator which became an instant hit on the Sony PlayStation 1, is set to be re-released in high definition during the Xbox Live Summer of Arcade.
In 1999 a generation of teenagers found themselves glued to their consoles, only to find themselves skateboarding to each other's houses to kickflip their way through a H-O-R-S-E challenge. This skateboarding title on the PlayStation 1 was not only defined by its addictive gameplay, but by the catchy pop punk soundtrack featuring the likes of Goldfinger.
Where the remake is concerned, it seems like anyone who enjoyed the original game is in for a treat. The updated version of the game is due to feature both levels and music tracks from the first two games in the series, amongst many other new additions. The game is due to arrive on Xbox Live on the 18th July for 1200 points to kickstart the Xbox Live Summer of Arcade.
