Planned Release Of Unfinished Game Boy Color Resident Evil Port Accompanied By Another Earlier Build

Planned-Release-Of-Unfinished-Game-Boy-Color-Resident-Evil-Port-Accompanied-By-Another-Earlier-BuildIf the announcement that Capcom's unreleased Game Boy Color port of Resident Evil would potentially be leaked online wasn't enough, you'll be pleased to know there is now even more on offer. Following the arrival of the release thread another owner of an earlier build stepped forward to add their prototype to the bounty at no additional cost.

Two different prototypes of the same game? What's the big deal? - As usual we'd like to parade our enthusiasm towards preservation efforts regardless their differences, but the more important part to note this time round are the few differences worth mentioning for the hardcore Resident Evil fans. The second cartridge now on offer features an inventory packed with weaponry alongside a working map system. While great additions the second cartridge however is missing Jill as a playable character.

What makes this new arrival more interesting is that it is in fact being provided by a member of RetroCollect. Those who frequent the ever so busy Retro Gaming Forum here may recall a user by the name of N64rick who uncovered a treasure trove of development items last year. After taking a punt on this eBay bundle, N64rick's gamble brought him this early build of Resident Evil GBC amongst plenty of other retro gaming development items.

So once again, should you be interested on finally getting your hands on the ambitious unreleased attempt to bring Resident Evil to the Game Boy Color, put your money where your mouth is an contribute to the on going fundraiser.
