Piko Interactive Release New Super Nintendo & Sega Mega Drive Titles ’Dorke & Ymp' and Water Margin'

Piko-Interactive-16-Bit-ReleasesIf for whatever reason you’re looking for an all new 16-bit title to get stuck into, Piko Interactive may have you covered. The retro gaming publisher has just announced that three of their upcoming releases have just been added to their online store including unreleased Super Nintendo title Dorke & Ymp, along with an obscure Chinese exclusive Mega Drive brawler known as Water Margin.

Although these games may have been coded two decades ago, Piko Interactive have decided to do much more than just stick unfinished software on cartridge. Having acquired the rights to the games on offer, the Texas based team have been touching up the original titles, ironing out any bugs, implementing new features, and translating the games into English when necessary.

This attention to detail has seen the unreleased Super Nintendo title Dorke & Ymp being given new levels, a password system, boss fights, and any unfinished code being tied up. On a similar note, Water Margin for the Sega Mega Drive - a fantasy-inspired take on Streets of Rage also known as Shui Hu: Feng Yun Zhuan - has been stripped of its Chinese in-game text and fully localised for English audiences. Elsewhere Corn Buster, another unreleased SNES title, has been made available too: a bat and ball puzzler which draws inspiration from the likes of Devillish.

Needless to say, if you’re a fan of the Super Nintendo or Sega Mega Drive then take note. Water Margin arrives as the cheapest of the bunch on cartridge at $55 (including a full colour box and manual), whilst Corn Buster is priced up at $65, and the promising Dorke & Ymp at $70.
