OutRun Gets Upgraded With Full 360 Force Feedback Driving Simulator

Force-Dynamics-on-OutRunAs much as we love our older games and feel that our imaginations can bring on-screen pixels to life, we've often wondered how to make our favourites feel more realistic. While companies such as Aura attempted to bridge the gap decades ago with their body-worm Interactor rumble pack, such efforts left a lot to be desired. As of today though, traditional racing games will never be the same again following a stunning development for Sega's speedy classic, OutRun.

Instead of just sticking to the traditional arcade setup, Force Dynamics have made their incredible 401cr motion simulation compatible with the 1986 racer. With the ability to match the motion and feedback of a realistic car, every twist and turn of OutRun has been turned into a futuristic experience, and potentially a worrying one should you happen to crash into the sides and topple your Ferrari Testarossa.

Although it's unlikely any of us will be trying this soon, it's an incredible sight to behold and one we very much hope will someday make an appearance at a retro gaming event in the near future.
