Only in Japan can you play Famicom games in a bar

famicomcitybarAs if Japan didn't have enough to be jealous about, here comes another item on that long list. A new cafe bar has recently opened in Tokyo, Shibuya, under the name 'Famicom City'. Being one of the few places they can get a drink while playing Super Mario Bros, it's bound to be a hit.

Proudly wearing the original Nintendo Famicom colours, 'Famicom City' is bound to spark off the nostalgia amongst the Japanese people. The bar / cafe is set to offer a 2 hour 'all you can drink-n-play offer' for ¥1980, with 30 minute top ups priced at ¥490.

Not really sure on the currency differences - is that good value? And I haven't got a Yen button on my keyboard. Can you bring your own games? Or is it "Play Mario or get out"? Nice looking place though, we should open a Sega Bar!
