Nintendo NES Homebrew 'Study Hall' Released On Cartridge

Study-Hall-Released-For-Nintendo-NESBack in June 2013, KHAN Games made an impressive announcement regarding one of their upcoming homebrew projects - Study Hall. This impressive looking school-em-up arcade platformer for the Nintendo NES has finally materialised in cartridge form and can now be ordered from RetroZone.

While the thought of heading back to school in a video game on paper doesn't sound all that appealing, don't be fooled by Study Hall's homework stylings. Deep within the lined note paper and pixel scrawling is a fantastic arcade title drawing inspiration from the likes of Donkey Kong Jr.

Gameplay aside, Study Hall really excels in both the audio and visual departments. Complimenting the unique and artistic style of school notebooks is a fantastic soundtrack featuring many chiptune renditions of 80s anthems - including hits from both Simple Minds and Peter Gabriel.

The cartridge of Study Hall can now be ordered for $33 from RetroZone, while completists wanting a box and manual for the game can look towards Wal'R'us Games impressive official counterparts.
