Nintendo Famicom Exclusive 'Konami Wai Wai World' Translated

Nintendo-Famicom-Exclusive-Konami-Wai-Wai-World-TranslatedAs early as 1988, Konami had created a video game parody of their software library, tasking you with the challenge of rescuing protagonists from their very own games. As crazy as it sounds, this self loathing title, Konami Wai Wai World, is one Famicom release you can now enjoy in full thanks to an English translation patch.

If you're a Castlevania fan, then Konami Wai Wai World is definitely for you. Featuring very similar gameplay to that of the castle-based-quest - and even levels based upon Castlevania's - you'll feel right at home with the gameplay mechanics on offer here, whilst being able to indulge in the Gradius styled stages later on in the game.

While in control of Konami Man and/or Konami Lady, you'll need to rescue the likes of Goemon, Simon Belmont III, a Gradius Moai, the Vic Viper, TwinBe, and even The Goonies' Michael "Mikey" Walsh - to name all but a few - all of which end up becoming playable characters too.

Although there is little dialogue within Konami Wai Wai World, the fact it has all been translated into English makes for a more enjoyable adventure.

A downloadable English patch for Konami Wai Wai World can now be found at ROMHacking.net. As usual, to enjoy this fan translation patch you will need to have an original Konami Wai Wai World ROM file to which you can apply this patch to. Full instructions on how to patch this ROM can be found within the download, or you can refer to this handy ROM patching guide on YouTube.
