Nintendo 64 Flash Card: Everdrive 64 in Development

Everdrive-64-Flash-Card-for-Nintendo-64-in-DevelopmentWell it would appear we have one more Nintendo 64 news item to report this week. KRIKzz who is well known for his Sega Mega Drive, Sega Master System and Super Nintendo SD Card Flash Carts is busy working away on his backup device for the N64, the Everdrive 64.

Having only just released his Sega Master System Flash Card (Master Everdrive) , it wasn't long before the Ukraine mastermind was back in the workshop. His new Nintendo 64 project currently in development is far from being ready for production, however offers great promise. If the build and functionality is anywhere near that of his other projects, we're in for a treat.

Given the flash card market already has the NeoFlash N64 Myth Flash Card on offer, it will be interesting to see how the two measure up. As the NeoFlash cartridge uses a rather awkward form of media to store the N64 ROMs, KRIKzz's SD card functionality might just offer that little extra to sway a purchase from a few of the N64 fans.

As soon as more information regarding release and features is known, we will bne sure to post up the news.

Gonna need a decent-sized SD card if you want a complete unzipped ROM set! A zipped US and Europe only set takes up over 3GB!
