Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Program Launches in Europe

Nintendo-3DS-Ambassador-Program-Launches-in-EuropeOver the last few months you may have caught wind of the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador program, offering those who invested in the handheld prior to the price drop a selection of free Virtual Console games. As of now the program has launched in Europe allowing gamers to get their hands on 10 different Nintendo NES games.

The Ambassador program was launched as Nintendo's way to both keep the hardcore fans happy while being able to offer everyone else the handheld at a reduced cost. The original promise included not only the said Nintendo NES games, but also a selection of yet-to-arrive Nintendo Game Boy Advance games including Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Metroid Fusion, WarioWare, Inc.: Minigame Mania and Mario vs. Donkey Kong.

Here is the list of currently available Nintendo NES games on the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador program:

So for those lucky enough to be on the program, here is a video detailing how to access your selection of free Nintendo NES games.

Me too. Shame that Nintendo didn't offer something more exclusive than previously released games though. I'm sure most of us have the games on offer in physical form already anyway. Now for the 10 GBA games later in the year.

I've read that the 3DS hasn't met expectations and has been something of a flop. If this is true I'm glad I held off getting one, however I still might if Sonic Generations doesn't get released on PC.

Don't believe the media, the 3DS is anything but a flop. It sold better than the DS when launched and with the new price and the heavy hitters (3x Mario, Starfox, Luigi and more) in time for christmas sales will skyrocket. Since the price drop I've hardly been selling any DSs anymore, people mostly buy the 3DS now.

Well that's good to hear. Glad it's doing well. Unfortunately, it's 3D has the same affect on me as 3D movies. can't focus and I get a head ache. I know you can turn it off but I don't see the point of getting a 3D device if you're not going to use the 3D 0_o
