New Nintendo NES Hombrew Adventure 'Nighttime Bastards' Set For Limited Cartridge Release In 2014

Nighttime-Bastards-NES-Homebrew-2014Following on from the likes of Battle Kid and Streemerz, the newly announced top-down dungeon crawler Nighttime Bastards looks set to provide Nintendo NES homebrew fans something to look forward to early next year.

Due to be released some time around the 1st January, One Bit Games' upcoming title appears to be an adventure heavily inspired by The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario's horde of Boo ghosts. This 8-bit quest is ready to task you with fighting for the presence of light in the nightmare world of Wakenes. With 9 levels on offer, you'll have plenty of traps and treasures to traverse whilst ensuring you keep the light switched on - a challenge in itself.

Nighttime Bastards cartridge release, however, seems to be quite the limited one if the official website is anything to go by. While we do expect to see more copies eventually arrive, the original run is supposedly limited to just 10 cartridges, so don't leave it too late. Full information on securing your copy and pre-ordering can be found on the game's website.
