New ZX Spectrum Emulator for the Apple iPhone: Spectaculator

Spectaculator-New-ZX-Spectrum-Emulator-for-the-Apple-iPhoneZX Spectrum gamers may already be familiar with the name Spectaculator. Already existing as an ZX Spectrum emulator for the PC, the team behind the software have recently ported their work over the Apple iPhone, with a selection of licensed retro games included.

The emulator is currently priced up at £1.79 and is available for both the iPhone and iPad devices. Spectaculator features your now-familiar touchscreen joystick ready for gaming on the go wherever you may be.

To make up for potential touchscreen control issues, the emulator offers save states, the ability to enter pokes, a replica ZX Spectrum keyboard and selectable authentic load speeds for those who feel nostalgic. The preloaded games with Spectaculator are as follows:

- 3D Starstrike by Realtime Games Software
- Tau Ceti by CRL/Pete Cooke
- Dynamite Dan by Rod Bowkett
- On The Run by Design Design
- Albatrossity by Jonathan Cauldwell
- The Fantastic Mister Fruity by Jonathan Cauldwell
- Battery's Not Precluded by Jonathan Cauldwell
