New Super Nintendo Flash Card available from NeoFlash

SNESMythAnother Super Nintendo Flash Card surfaces. Only a few months after the release of RetroUSB's SNES PowerPak, NeoFlash have been hard at work to bring out the latest card in the Myth series.

Now retailing at $169 (approx £110), the SNES Myth uses the same technology as the Nintendo 64 and Sega Megadrive cartridges also available, running ROMs from the Gameboy Advance Flash Card placed into the top.

The SNES Myth Card offers a unique selling point over its nearest rival, the SNES PowerPak... The ability to play Super Nintendo/Famicom games with special chips (Such as the Super FX Chip and the CX4 Chip). On the reverse side of the cartridge is another slot (similar to those found on the back of an Action Replay/Game Genie), where a cartridge containing the required chip can be slotted in. This pass through method uses the chip on the second cartridge, to allow the ROM file requiring the chip to be played.

While the compatibility of this cartridge is still being documented, the current list is rather impressive.
