New Homebrew Mega Drive Platformer ‘Tanglewood’ Announced

Tanglewood-Announced-For-Sega-Mega-Drive16-bit addicts take note! The Mega Drive looks set for another high quality adventure through the newly announced Tanglewood. Currently in development by the aptly named Big Evil Corporation, the game is slowly being revealed - starting with the game’s protagonist, environment, and inspiration.

While this recent reveal may only show a small clip of Nymm walking through a selection of areas, the developers are already promising quite a lot with this upcoming title. Drawing upon platforming greats such as Abe’s Odyssey, Another World, and Flashback, Tanglewood is hoping to recapture that visually enticing feel that these atmospheric titles once offered. This will be achieved through various characters, creatures, puzzles, and an impressive day and night time cycle.

Whilst we await further information on this upcoming release, be sure to see what Big Evil Corporation have shared so far. By Mega Drive standards it’s pretty and we’re eager to see more.
