Neo Geo CD Exclusive 'Crossed Swords II' Ported To AES & MVS For Physical Cartridge Release

Neo-Geo-CD-Crossed-Swords-II-Ported-To-AES-and-MVSThe Neo Geo CD was SNK's attempt to make arcade perfect gaming more affordable to the masses. Although pocket-priced, the console's ports of AES and MVS classics such as Metal Slug and King of Fighters 98 came with a slight downside - longer loading times. One positive to the system though was its small selection of exclusive releases including Crossed Swords 2, a title which has just been unofficially adapted to run on the cartridge based consoles instead, with a physical release on the way.

Homebrew developers Neobitz who previously brought us the all new Neo Geo title Knight's Chance are the ones behind this unofficial release, and have since begun taking orders for the third person sword 'em up. Featuring identical gameplay and visuals to its CD counterpart, this conversion is designed to run flawlessly on the cartridge based systems with no indication that the game once loaded from optical media. And if the thought of owning another Neo Geo AES game wasn't enough already, apparently Neobitz have also fixed a few left over bugs from the original version too.

As usual though, this new Neo Geo cartridge release comes at quite the cost. Following on from Knight's Chance and even NG.DEV:Team's releases too, those interested in picking up Crossed Swords 2 will need to part with $280. While a lot to the majority of us, Neo Geo fans will no doubt be sorting out finances to secure this release.
