NECA Announce Nintendo NES Inspired Batman Action Figure

NECA-Nintendo-NES-Batman-Action-FigureTwenty five years ago saw both Michael Keaton’s iconic portrayal as Batman and the release of the Nintendo NES action game tie-in. To celebrate this anniversary, collectible toy manufacturers NECA have decided to merge these two avenues and release an all new Batman figure inspired by the 1989 classics.

This action figure offering of Batman is to come packaged in a box which mimics the Nintendo NES game's cover art closely. This, however, isn't where the similarities end. To further celebrate the game's anniversary, the figure itself will be styled and painted to match that of Batman's 8-bit sprite, featuring a similar colour palette and pose.

Standing at 7" tall with over 25 articulation points, Batman fans and retro gamers wanting to pose this action figure in their collections should take note that a single production run is expected sometime in October. No price has been set as of yet, although you may want to get saving as there's also a Robocop Video Game tie-in due to be made available too.
