Nagoya Attack Brings Space Invaders To The MB Vectrex

Nagoya-Attack-VectrexDespite being a fantastic platform for arcade games at the time, the MB Vectrex was unfortunate in the fact that Taito never brought Space Invaders to the tabletop system. Homebrew developers, however, have opted to make amends for the vector graphics-based video game console shortcomings with their all new creation, Nagoya Attack.

While in essence this new homebrew appears to be Space Invaders from a quick glance, the actual release Nagoya Attack is cloning is Taito's lesser known Mini-Vaders. This 1992 follow up to the arcade classic was more of a survival variant to Space Invaders, putting you up against a single invader on level one and slowing increasing the difficulty (and amount of incoming ships) every time a stage was completed.

Although Nagoya Attack is still in development, those with a Vectrex Flashcart to hand (or even an emulator) can check out homebrew developer KidQuaalude's latest efforts thanks to a demo ROM he has since released. As for the rest of us, we're going to have to live in hope that this impressive homebrew creation is soon given a physical cartridge release.
