My Little Pony Trots Onto Nintendo NES In Mega Man III ROM Hack Dr. Discord's Conquest

My-Little-Pony-Nintendo-NES-Mega-Man-III-ROM-HackSo we've all seen the Nintendo NES ROM hacks that replace Mario with Princess Peach, but what about one that completely strips Mega Man from his third outing and replaces his entire presence with My Little Pony? Believe it or not but Dr. Discord's Conquest matches this exact description, with every Robot Master cast aside for hooved hijinks.

As much as we'd like to say this is an April Fool's update arriving several months early, this is in fact an incredibly detailed and impressive Nintendo NES ROM hack which is now available to download. My Little Pony: Dr. Discord's Conquest has given Mega Man III a complete overhaul by introducing new level layouts, alternative in-game music and varying enemies - all of which resembling familiar settings from other video games.

This retro gaming homage-meets-bronies ROM patch might not be everyone's cup of tea, but either way it's an impressive feat worth checking out.

As usual, to enjoy this fan translation patch you will need to have an original Mega Man III Nintendo NES/Famicom ROM file to which you can apply this patch to. Full instructions on how to patch this ROM can be found within the download, or you can refer to this handy ROM patching guide on YouTube.
