Move Over Guitar Hero… Keyboard Rocking ‘Chiptune Champion’ Hits Steam

Chiptune-Champion-Released-On-SteamIf we’re all willing to admit it, there’s at least one Guitar Hero accessory somewhere within our game rooms and a retired rock star in all of us. Having ditched the guitar, it’s time to grab the keyboard and revive our musical careers as Game Boy, Nintendo NES and other computer generated music has just been given its own rhythm based game - Chiptune Champion.

Newly released on Steam, Chiptune Champion is everything we know and love from Guitar Hero, only this time round with the bleeps and bloops of our favourite gaming systems. Calling upon musicians such as Savestates and Carf Darko, the game features a fantastic selection of 40 chiptune anthems, along with a tracker to make your own challenges too.

Released on Steam this week, Chiptune Champion can be had for a limited time at £5.59 (20% off). The game doesn’t require any special controllers, as shown by the trailer below with one chip-rock star wielding the almighty keyboard.
