Morphcat Games Super Bat Puncher Limited Edition Cartridge Auction

Morphcat-Games-Super-Bat-Puncher-Limited-Edition-Cartridge-AuctionHomebrew developer Morphcat games recently released an incredible demo of their upcoming Nintendo NES hit, Super Bat Puncher. With plenty of NES enthusiasts drooling at the mouth, it was only a matter of time before the game ended up on a physical cartridge, one now available via auction.

This incredibly small run of 20 reproduction cartridges are currently being auctioned off on both the NintendoAge and messageboards, generously aiding their server costs and to fund development of a new NES Mapper.

"But what's the point?" I hear you say, given there is a demo ROM already available. As expected Morphcat games have added a little extra helping onto these cartridges. Each one of these reproduction cartridges will offer access to a hidden debug room packed with goodies such as the jet pack, not available in the existing demo.

If you're tempted, you may need to dig deep into your pockets. The 8-bit addicts on NintendoAge have already brought the bids above the $120 mark already.

Wow. $120. What is this new mapper, exactly? Where can I read about that specifically?

On a slightly unrelated, but still relevant note... I'm so ready for the full release of this game. When I see anything about this game I get all giddy inside. :D
