Metroid Prime Gets Oculus Rift Support In GameCube Emulator

Metroid-Prime-on-Oculus-RiftNot too long ago a GameCube emulator running F-Zero GX was thrown into another dimension after being given compatibility with the Oculus Rift headset. Next up to receive this 3D support on Dolphin is the amazingly atmospheric Metroid Prime.

Despite being over a decade old, Metroid Prime still looks absolutely incredible today and holds up rather well - especially after the various graphical enhancements the GameCube emulator Dolphin has to offer. Although we don't have an Oculus Headset at the ready, we can only imagine how good it must be to explore the Chozo Ruins in Retro Studio's 2003 epic.

YouTuber Chadtronic was lucky enough to experience this new lick of paint to the GameCube epic and recorded his experiences for all to see. While it might not look too different to most of us, those who have given this new hardware a testrun will no doubt be desperate to get back into Samus's armour for a more authentic ride!
