Mega Man 2.5D - Demo Released For The Unofficial Update To The Nintendo NES Classics

Mega-Man-25D-Demo-ReleasedWhile Capcom have been rather generous to retro gamers as of recent with plenty of classic-styled Mega Man releases, they're yet to send the blue bomber into 3D space. One fan aware of this omission has decided to make amends by developing Mega Man 2.5D - something we can finally sample through a playable demo.

Although this new fan made release lacks any authenticity or approval from Capcom, everything we know and love about the Nintendo NES's Mega Man epics. The original tilesets and graphics from these classics are all present within, only this time round they offer a new level of depth while keeping the gameplay and physics intact.

The only difference with Mega Man 2.5D is that co-operative gameplay has been introduced (and is the only playable mode in the game's downloadable demo) allowing both yourself and friend controlling Proto Man to blast through the challenging stages.

A release date is yet to be set for Mega Man 2.5D, so until then be sure to check out Peter Sjostrand's impressive work which even Capcom would be proud of!
