Mega Everdrive Flash Cartridge Will Bring Save State Functionality To Original Mega Drive Hardware

Krikzz-To-Release-PC-Engine-Turbografx-16-Flash-Cartridge-Updated-Ultimate-Mega-Drive-EverdriveThe recently announced updated Sega Mega Drive flash cartridge from Krikzz's Everdrive range already had a plethora of features, however one new groundbreaking feature has been included which could potentially render emulation useless. The Ukranian mastermind has somehow managed to create Save State functionality on the original hardware.

Given save states are the ultimate offering emulation can bring to gamers, the thought of being able to reload and relive those life eating challenges on the Sega Mega Drive without an emulator in sight is almost too good to be true.

Alongside this incredible addition to the updated version of Krikzz's flash cartridge comes a selection of even more confirmed features which are making this a must have for any Sega gamer.

Confirmed Features

  1. Instant ROM loading (1-2 sec)
  2. Large rom suppport - allowing up to 10 mbyte ROM files
  3. Snapshot/Save saves
  4. Firmware update on the fly
  5. Advanced Sega Master System support including Codemasters and Korean ROM loading.
  6. Doubles as a RAM cart for the Sega Mega CD
  7. Dual SD Card slot
  8. Fast USB port for development
  9. Quick return to menu by reset button

Unconfirmed Features

  1. FM sound functionality for Sega Master System
  2. Online Netplay
