Mega Drive Horror Adventure ‘Sacred Line’ Released On Cartridge

Watermelon-Games-Release-Sacred-Line-on-Mega-Drive-GenesisBack in 2013 a brand new title hit the Mega Drive, bring the visual novel genre to the 16-bit console. Following the success of their previous homebrew releases, Watermelon Games have secured the rights to Sasha Darko’s Sacred Line, with a physical cartridge of the horror adventure now available.

If you’re only just becoming aware of this homebrew, Sacred Line for the Mega Drive is condensed retro console port of a PC game of the same name. Using pre-rendered backdrops of various creepy locations, you’ll be taken through a thrilling story in this text-heavy quest with combat scenes similar to that of the much loved Fighting Fantasy books.

Watermelon Games have opted to create a lush colour manual to accompany this cartridge release, along with various other promotional leaflets every collector loves. The game itself is now available at $39, sitting alongside the recently restocked copies of the Pier Solar reprint.
