Mega Drive History Book Seeking Funding on Kickstarter

Kickstarter trully is a blessing for retor gamers, bringing us wonderful things we may never have seen otherwise. The latest is a new book officially licensed by SEGA and produced to celebrate the 25th anniversary SEGA's 16-bit wonder, the Mega Drive. SEGA Mega Drive/ Genesis: The Complete Works promises to contain a wealth of information, including never before seen documents. It's sure to be something every SEGA fan will desire.

 Produced by Read Only Memory, the book is looking to raise $30,000 UK pounds in order to be published and has thus far managed $19,586 of the goal with funding closing on December 9th. The book's Kickstarter page promises the books is to deliver 20 exclusive interviews with original SEGA team members, a forward by Dave Perry of Shiny fame, will showcase many of the classic games the system has become known for including Streets of Rage, Phantasy Star, Gunstar Heroes, Golden Axe and of course Sonic the Hedgehog among many more. Perhaps most excitingly, the book will also contain rarely seem images of concepts and construction details from during the Mega Drive's creation.

As with all Kickstarter campaigns, there is of cource severl backer rewards. These range from special copies of the book to limited silk-screen printings of hardware manufacturing plans to an amazing archival print of Sonic and Dr. Robotnik/ Eggman by creator Naoto Oshima.
