Mega Drive Heroes 'ToeJam & Earl' Set For Funky Return

ToeJam-and-Earl-Due-For-ComebackOne of the most disappointing aspects of gaming is seeing how few of Sega’s flagship 16-bit franchises are still being used today. While Streets of Rage and Golden Axe may have to remain as distant memories, ToeJam & Earl on the other hand appears to be making a funkadelic comeback.

The official ToeJam & Earl Facebook page which is maintained by Greg Johnson - the co-creator of the game - recently revealed some behind the scenes sketches of what has been described as a new entry in the series. While these sketches show anything but gameplay, they leave many retro gamers excited with the very thought of seeing ToeJam & Earl in the gaming world once more.

Official announcements regarding this new game are due to be made within a months time, however, it is expected that HumaNature Studios are the ones behind this upcoming revival. More funky news as and when we have it - until then, dust off your Mega Drive!

It had best be like the first game too, not that bollocking side scroll madness they called a sequel.
