Live Fish Tank Duo Fight It Out On Street Fighter II

Fish-Fight-On-Street-Fighter-IIWe've all seen the incredible match ups between Street Fighter II pros, but for the first time ever the spotlight has been taken from their corner and cast upon... a fish tank. In a similar vein to TwitchPlaysPokemon, one retro gamer has left his webcam filming his two pet fish - with each quadrant of the tank they swim into controlling the on-screen action of Capcom's fighter.

The idea is simple - should a fish move into the upper middle area of the tank, the chosen character will jump, while areas such as the bottom right will be translated into a button press and so forth. Although oblivious to what's going on, both Aquarius and Robert the Bruce have been duking it out for the last two days - with each claiming a day's victory.

As bonkers and random as it is, there's something fascinating about two non-human players taking control of a video game. While the action on screen resembles very little of what you'd expect in a Street Fighter II match up, there has still been plenty of close calls and exhilarating bouts worth watching.
