If you haven't already been sold on the wealth of new releases heading to the Sega Dreamcast, then there is one more lined up for you. LEONA's Tricky Adventures is an all new Puzzle-Adventure due for release in July on Sega's fabled system and the Commodore Amiga, currently being funded on Kickstarter.
Unlike the many other Sega Dreamcast homebrew titles, this is not a scrolling shooter! While we're very much fans of the shmup genre, it's a breath of fresh air seeing a different genre returning to the console. Yuan Works have previously proved that the puzzle genre is alive and well on the 128-bit system with Wind & Water Puzzle Battles, something we're hoping LEONA's Tricky Adventures will build upon.
The most unusual aspect to this Kickstarter is the project's confirmed additional release on the more modern Amiga OS 4, AROS, MorphOS platforms. Those hoping to get their hands on this Commodore version of the game will be pleased to hear that it is due to come in the traditional oversized Euro-box style packaging - a title which should slot nicely into any Amiga collection.
To sweeten the deal, it would appear that KTX Software Dev, the team behind LEONA's Tricky Adventures, have managed to secure some big names to help with development. The iconic video game composer Chris Huelsbeck (Turrican series) is due to create the game's soundtrack whilst Comic-Authors M.Musal & B.Samuel are set to help out with artwork and story side of things.
Those already tempted will need to pledge aside either £50 for the Sega Dreamcast version or £60 for the Amiga version, both of which will come with a limited edition t-shirt and poster.
