Despite being released 18 years ago, the ROM file for the Sega Game Gear title CJ Elephant Fugitive has been missing in action. SMSPower, however, have finally decided to do something about this by preserving the rare handheld release for everyone to enjoy in Game Gear emulators.
According to SMSPower the layout and use of chips in Codemasters Game Gear releases can be rather troublesome when it comes to dumping them. In the past custom hardware has been built to work around this, thankfully proving us access to the many Codemasters Game Gear titles that are now floating around the internet. The rarity of CJ Elephant Fugitive, however, has prevented it from surfacing online in ROM format, at least until now.
SMSPower have released the ROM for CJ Elephant Fugitive, which can now be downloaded from their site. If we're not mistaken it is the last licensed Sega Game Gear game missing from ROM sets online, finally allowing us all access to the entire 8-bit handheld library of Sega games.
