Video Demo Of Krikzz's Upcoming Nintendo NES / Famicom Everdrive ROM Loading SD Card Flash Cartridge

Krikzzs-Upcoming-Nintendo-NES-Famicom-Everdrive-ROM-Loading-SD-Card-Flash-Cartridge-DemonstrationHaving announced a ROM loading Nintendo NES / Famicom flash cartridge was in development a few weeks ago, Krikzz of the Everdrive fame has now made some considerable progress on this new hardware. As we edge closer to release, a video of the cartridge loading games from an SD card has surfaced online, showcasing the device's capabilities.

To think that you'll be able to access the entire Nintendo NES library of video games, including Japanese imports, from within a single game cartridge is nothing short of incredible - and something you'll soon be able to enjoy. The SD card ready flash cartridge is set to be compatible with just about every game, potentially leaving your much loved collection of NES games to gather dust.

The new video of the device in action which was uploaded to YouTube this week shows how the standard menu driven navigation works on the 8-bit console. Like the rest of the Everdrive flash cartridges, the Famicom Everdrive (Nintendo NES Everdrive, depending on what you prefer) impressively seems to load up games within a split second.

Will you have to keep blowing in the console to get this to work?
