Krikzz Reveals Working Prototype Of Upcoming Game Boy Advance Flash Cartridge 'Everdrive GBA'

Game-Boy-Advance-Everdrive-GBA-In-DevelopmentWith the Mega Drive, Super Nintendo, PC Engine, Game Gear, and just about every other classic gaming system well catered for when it comes to SD card ready flash cartridges, it's about time the Game Boy Advance received its very own too. After initially teasing gamers with an announcement on the upcoming Game Boy Advance Everdrive, Krikzz has just revealed footage of his latest creation in action.

Like all the other flash cartridges in the Everdrive range, the Game Boy Advance equivalent looks set to feature a fully fledged file browser/ROM chooser to access the many games loaded onto removable media. In Krikzz's Everdrive GBA video the handheld is seen browsing through a large selection of ROMs, all before booting into memory Bomberman Tournament. The ROM chosen by Krikzz appears to boot into play within a split second, with the game's introduction sequence loading exactly as we all remember - all without the original cartridge in sight.

With no release date set for this upcoming device as of yet, Krikzz has confessed on Twitter that development is proving difficult due to the Game Boy Advance cartridge's limited size. Needless to say we've been bowled over by his prior releases, so we've got high hopes that the Everdrive GBA will be here soon enough with many more features to boot.
