Krikzz Releases Famicom To Nintendo NES Adapter (60 To 72 Pin)

Krikzz-Releases-Famicom-To-Nintendo-NES-Adapter-60-To-72-PinA sigh of relief was just let out by Gyromite cartridges around the world. Krikzz of Everdrive fame has just added to his online shop a bargain price 60 to 72 pin adapter which lets you play Famicom games on any Nintendo NES.

Gyromite? What's that Robotic Operating Buddy title got to do with import game adapters? Well, following one Christmas rush Nintendo ran short of the very chipboards they manufactured their games on. In an attempt to resolve this, Famicom versions of their upcoming games were placed inside standard NES game cartridge cases, only they were plugged in to a discreet 60 to 72 pin adapter. Something which eluded us for many years.

Today, along with a handful of other NES games, retro gamers around the world have been gutting their Gyromite cartridges in hope of finding this very adapter. As of today though, you'll no longer need to dissect your NES cartridges, nor will you need to spend a fortune on one of the existing adapters out there. Krikzz's newly released adapter does just the trick for $25.

And for those anticipating the return of the Nintendo NES version of the Everdrive N8 flash cartridge in stock, you can combine this adapter with the Famicom Everdrive N8 and beat the rush.
