Krikzz Opens Orders For ‘Everdrive GBA X5’ Game Boy Advance Flash Cartridge

everdrive-gba-x5The moment Nintendo Game Boy Advance fans have all been waiting for is finally here. Flash cartridge manufacturer Krikzz has finally unveiled the Everdrive GBA X5 and opened up pre-orders for the feature packed device. Best of all, those lucky enough to secure their place on the list will hopefully have their cartridges towards the end of the month.

While there may already be a selection of Game Boy Advance flash cartridges on the market, the Everdrive GBA X5 is the first to utilise instant ROM loading - without the need of pre-patched ROM files or any other alterations beforehand. This easy solution boasts near 100% compatibility with the huge library of games out there, along with support for massive 256MBit ROMs and an accompanying slot for 1MBit SRAM. The Pokemon series are also catered for thanks to the inclusion of Real-Time Clock support too.

Needless to say the cartridge is shaping up to be the ultimate solution to enjoying all of your Game Boy Advance games on the go. Those who happen to prefer making the most of the Gamecube’s Game Boy Player (or other full-screen alternatives such as the Super Retro Advance) will be pleased to hear that the Everdrive GBA X5 is fully compatible with these adapters.

According to Krikzz’s official website, orders placed for the Everdrive GBA X5 will be dispatched sometime between the 15th July and the 15th August. The cartridge is priced up at $99, which if anything is a tiny price to pay for having every single Game Boy Advance game in one place - including the likes of Ninja Cop and countless other rarities.
