Krikzz Announces Game Boy Advance Flash Cartridge 'Everdrive GBA' In Development

Krikzz-Announces-Everdrive-GBAJust mere months after releasing a Game Boy flash cartridge, Krikzz has gone and announced another SD card enabled device for a different Nintendo handheld. Although in the early stages, retro gamers can look forward to a Game Boy Advance Everdrive arriving in the near future.

Since releasing the Everdrive GB, Krikzz has left an awful lot up to speculation as to what his next creation would be. Having written off the Neo Geo AES and the Game Boy Advance as contenders to receive flash cartridges, many were left wondering what the hardware genius would work on next. Despite these initial remarks though, a recent tweet from Krikzz himself suggests that the Game Boy Advance is in fact getting the flash cartridge it truly deserves.

At this point in time, the few choices available to Game Boy Advance fans wanting to load ROM files from SD card leave a lot to be desired. Some of these are limited to 2gb storage space, while other require games to be patched in an unusual fashion before they work. Needless to say a more modern alternative up to the usual standard of the Everdrive range is without a doubt long overdue.

While there is no official word yet as to when this Game Boy Advance Everdrive (or Everdrive GBA if you prefer) will be available, we expect the coming months will be filled with promising video updates and sneak peeks at the development process.
