Konami's 'Silent Hill' Visual Novel Creeps Onto The Mega Drive

Konami-Silent-Hill-Visual-Novel-Creeps-Onto-The-Mega-DriveSimilar to the homebrew version of Angry Birds, another famous video game release has been de-made for the Sega Mega Drive. Play Novel: Silent Hill, the Game Boy Advance's visual storybook retelling of the PlayStation horror has crept on the 16-bit console in style with Silent Hill: Genesis.

Originally released exclusively in Japan in 2001, this once portable title takes the player through the plot of the first Silent Hill game, whilst offering various branching paths to choose from and various puzzles to solve. The majority of the game, if that is the correct term, is spent reading, whilst admiring the captured visuals from the PlayStation version of the game.

Arriving as an unofficial fan-made port, Silent Hill: Genesis is an adaptation of this Game Boy Advance sleeper - sticking as close as possible to the original. As of speaking the game is anything but complete, however, the Russian developer behind this title has released a version of his work for all to see.

So should the thought of revisiting Silent Hill send a chill down your spine, why not considering heading back via the Sega Mega Drive, or Genesis if you'd prefer.

Now this would make a very nice curio indeed for the Silent Hill/survival horror collector if it were released on cart., can't see that happening though. Thanks for the info on this project.

If you do a bit of searching on google you'll be able to find people online who are willing to convert ROMs like this to actual carts (if you are interested). I've had this done with several carts in the past.
