Khan Games' Homebrew Port Of Leisure Suit Larry Arrives On Nintendo NES Cartridge

Leisure-Suit-Larry-Nintendo-NES-PortIf you’ve been keeping a close eye on the homebrew scene as of late, you’ll have noticed that Sierra’s suited sleaze-ball Larry was set for an unofficial appearance on the Nintendo NES. Developers Khan Games have finally finished their port of the game - now dubbed Larry and the Long Look For a Luscious Lover - and have released the game on a physical cartridge.

Originally arriving in 1987, graphic adventure Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards hit various home computers and became a massive hit for its story, humour, and challenging gameplay. Given that the title never officially made its way onto the consoles, Khan Games’ homebrew port is the first time Larry Laffer has slipped himself into a cartridge.

With all of the charm of Sierra’s 1987 sleaze-em-up present, this retro remake closely follows that of the original adventure, only adapting the game in places to match the Nintendo’s NES limited (keyboard-less) controls.

Now available at RetroUSB for $50, Larry and the Long Look For a Luscious Lover is available in a sleek blue cartridge accompanied by a box and manual. Capable of running on any region Nintendo NES, this homebrew offering is built using brand new parts, along with the added bonus of flash memory to hold save games indefinitely.
