Japanese Exclusive Super Nintendo Magic Poipoi Poitto Translated

Japanese-Exclusive-Super-Nintendo-Magic-Poipoi-Poitto-TranslatedIf puzzle games in the same vein as Puyo Puyo, Tetris and Columns are your thing, the arrival of another hidden gem in this genre should come as a pleasant surprise. The Japanese exclusive Super Nintendo release Mahou Poi Poi Poitto (aka Magic Poipoi Poitto) has received a fan translation.

Arriving as one of the most obscure games released for the Japanese version of the Super Nintendo, very few gamers (including ourselves) have heard of Metro's 1994 release until the arrival of this fan translation. Featuring action similar to that of Columns, the translated Magic Poipoi Poitto offers puzzle fans a good challenge in with the familiar three in a row battle.

Unfortunately, there is no gameplay footage of the game in action on YouTube, apart from the incredibly short five second clip found within this Super Nintendo compilation (around the 4:02 mark).

So if you're in the mood for exploring unheard of Super Nintendo puzzlers this weekend, check out the fan translation of Magic Poipoi Poitto.
