The Super Famicom adventure which never left Japan known as Silva Saga II: The Legend of Light and Darkness has recently been given the fan translation treatment. Featuring a very similar style of gameplay to the tried and tested Dragon Quest formula, Silva Saga II is yet another addition to the overcrowded (although appreciated) turn based 16-bit RPG genre.
Not another RPG to add to our gaming backlog! Released in June 1993, Silva Saga II was the follow up to the Nintendo Famicom RPG Silva Saga from SETA Corporation. Those with a keen retro gaming eye will recognise this developer's name from the rise of posts surrounding the infamous Bio Force Ape prototype.
Although somewhat popular in the Far East, the Silva Saga series has remained somewhat unknown outside of Japan. Dynamic Designs are hoping to shed light upon this series following their hard work in translating another exclusive Japanese video game.
