Japanese Exclusive Sega Mega Drive Sci-Fi Adventure 'Psy-O-Blade' Fan Translated Into English

Psy-O-Blade-Mega-Drive-Fan-Translation-ReleasedIn 1988, several Japanese home computer platforms were gifted a sci-fi point and click adventure known as Psy-O-Blade. Just two years later, T&E Soft re-released their title on the Sega Mega Drive with updated visuals. Although remaining a Japanese exclusive, fan translators have finally localised the game for English audiences.

Featuring a unique blend between the likes of Snatcher, Monkey Island, and Phantasy Star’s dungeon crawling, Psy-O-Blade is a rather obscure title for the 16-bit platform which is definitely worth checking out. Furthermore its detailed anime-esque visuals and engaging story provide a nice throwback to a time when visual novels were once a popular genre.

As usual, to enjoy this ROM translation patch you will need to have a legally obtained original Psy-O-Blade Mega Drive ROM to which you can apply this patch to. Full instructions on how to patch this ROM can be found within the project's thread, or you can refer to this handy ROM patching guide on YouTube.
