Japanese Exclusive Nintendo Virtual Boy Fishing Sim ‘Virtual Fishing’ Translated Into English

Virtual-Boy-Virtual-FIshing-English-Translation-PatchSay what you will about the Nintendo Virtual Boy, but you cannot deny how dedicated the fans are to their fabled system. With just over twenty unique games released for the primitive 3D console, each and every single Japanese exclusive release has now been fan translated into English - with Virtual Fishing being the final title to see a translation patch.

Released in 1995 by Pack-in-Video, this fishing simulator wasn’t exactly the most exhilarating title to hit the Virtual Boy. Nevertheless the title did exactly what it set out to do; to provide a decent venture into the slow paced rod-wielding wait that is fishing. With some impressive visuals and a career mode to work through, Virtual Boy gamers can finally hook into this previously exclusive title.

A downloadable patch to translate Virtual Fishing’s dialogue and menus can now be found at the Planet Virtual Boy forums.
