Japanese Exclusive Nintendo Famicom RPG The Glory of Heracles: Labors of the Divine Hero Translated

Japanese-Exclusive-Nintendo-Famicom-RPG-The-Glory-of-Heracles-Labors-of-the-Divine-Hero-TranslatedIf you haven't already settled down into the Christmas break with a selection of retro games, then maybe you should consider diving into the unknown with another fan translated RPG. The Glory of Heracles: Labors of the Divine Hero (aka Heracles no Eik?: Toujin Makyou Den) is a Japanese exclusive quest, which can now be enjoyed in English.

Data East, better known for their contributions towards arcade gaming, also had a stab at breaking into the vastly popular and overcrowded Nintendo Famicom RPG scene in the late eighties. Their attempt proved rather successful as the Heracles no Eikō name spawned off a selection of titled running all the way to the Nintendo DS in 2010, despite Data East filing for bankruptcy in 2003.

In the first Glory of Heracles title, you must take control of a young Heracles and set out on a quest to rescue Venus from the clutches of Hades. Keeping in tune with the Greek Mythology theme the game has created, the player must traverse events based loosely upon The Tweleve Labors of Hercules.
