Japanese Exclusive Nintendo Famicom RPG 'Sansara Naga' Gets English Fan Translation Patch

Sansara-Naga-Famicom-English-PatchIn 1990 Advance Communication Company released a rather obscure RPG on the Nintendo Famicom known as Sansara Naga. From the surface this seemingly stereotypical J-RPG may draw inspiration from the likes of Final Fantasy, however, its more complex Dragon breeding/raising simulation aspects set it apart from the sea of tiresome top-down adventures.

Instead of relying on hard fought battles to gain experience and progress, the player can cast away 'the grind' as the game focuses more on feeding your dragon enemies to raise its individual stats. These mythical beasts are also influenced by your actions during the game's storyline, meaning those who more likely flee from battles will see their dragon grow up to become a coward, and vice-versa.

If anything Sansara Naga was a daring RPG release two decades ago, although we can see why it was never localised due to its complexity. Nevertheless is obscure Famicom role playing games are your thing, Sansara Naga has been translated into English by ROM hackers with a downloadable patch now available.

Sansara Naga (Famicom) English Gameplay

As usual, to enjoy this fan translation patch you will need to have an original Sansara Naga Nintendo NES/Famicom ROM file to which you can apply this patch to. Full instructions on how to patch this ROM can be found within the download, or you can refer to this handy ROM patching guide on YouTube.
