Japanese Exclusive Nintendo Famicom 'City Adventure Touch: Mystery Of Triangle' Gets Fan Translation

City-Adventure-Touch-Fan-TranslationIn 1987 Toho released a Nintendo Famicom adaptation of the high school baseball manga known as Touch. Loosely following its source material, this long-lost adventure featured a somewhat open world to explore whilst rescuing puppies that had been scattered throughout a troublesome town. Needless to say City Adventure Touch: Mystery of Triangle never saw release outside of Japan, however, ROM hackers have just brought the game to English speaking audiences with a newly released fan translation patch.

This rather obscure title developed by Compile was a fairly early title to feature co-operative play. Taking control of two of the protagonists within the game, you'll be tasked with taking on a whole host of unusual enemies and bosses that guard these missing canines - a plot which seems somewhat disconnected from the manga it's based upon. The game features rather familiar gameplay to that of most 8 way action-adventures with about an hour's worth of challenge to boot.

Fans of the Nintendo Famicom and those looking for a new adventure to get stuck into will be pleased to know that the English translation patch for City Adventure Touch: Mystery of Triangle, has now been released. Available in both IPS and BPS formats, software such as LunarIPS can patch the Japanese ROM into English - ready for use within an emulator, or on the original hardware via a flash cartridge.
