Japanese Exclusive Game Boy Color Adventure 'Detective Conan: The Mechanical Temple Murder Case' English Fan Translation

Detective-Conan-The-Mechanical-Temple-Murder-Case-English-Fan-Translation-PatchIn February 2000 Japanese gamers were gifted a Game Boy Color outing of the popular Anime and Manga series known as Case Closed. This pocket sized whodunit adventure - the first of three on the handheld - sadly remained an import only treat. As of today though, English-speaking gamers wanting to help out Detective Conan in The Mechanical Temple Murder Case can finally enjoy the game through an unofficial fan translation patch.

Playing out like a traditional top down adventure, Detective Conan: The Mechanical Temple Murder (also known as Meitantei Conan: Karakuri Jiin Satsujin Jiken) will have you investigating various in-game locations for any clues on a mysterious murder that has taken place. Putting the evidence together, you'll be tasked with combing through alibis and working out who's guilty, very much like the Phoenix Wright games on the Nintendo DS.

This fan translation patch coverts all the in-game dialogue into English, along with the various menus and screens you'll be tackling. And if this wasn't enough already, the ROM hacker behind this project, Psyklax, has announced he is also working towards translating the other two Game Boy Color Case Closed adventures.

Please note this is not the English translation version in the video.

As usual, to enjoy this fan translation patch you will need to have an original Detective Conan: The Mechanical Temple Murder Case Nintendo Game Boy Color ROM file to which you can apply this patch to. Full instructions on how to patch this ROM can be found within the download, or you can refer to this handy ROM patching guide on YouTube.
