Japanese Exclusive Game Boy Advance RPG ‘Magical Vacation’ English Fan Translation Out Now

Magical-Vacation-Fan-Translation-ReleasedOf all the early Game Boy Advance games the West missed out on, Brownie Brown’s stunning Japanese exclusive adventure Magical Vacation was the biggest loss of them all. Despite its Nintendo DS sequel seeing a worldwide release, it's only as of now that retro gamers can finally battle through the 2001 portable quest, all thanks to a fan translation patch that’s arrive online.

If Magical Vacation doesn’t sound too familiar, it was a much anticipated RPG for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance around the time of the platform’s release. Featuring SNES-esque visuals and stunning environments, plenty of RPG gamers worldwide were waiting in anticipation for it to hit Europe and North America - sadly it never did. The team behind the title, however, did go on to much greater things with the (also import exclusive) highly rated Mother 3.

Despite this English language conversion being first announced just a few months ago, the team behind the translation have made fantastic progress in such a short space of time. While the entire game is finally playable from start to finish in English, the translation patch does come with the caveat that there are some graphical glitches present. Nevertheless those interested in checking out this vibrant portable RPG can download the translation patch from ROMHacking.net now.

Full instructions on how to apply the translation to the Japanese Magical Vacation ROM can be found in the download.
